Around 400 schoolchildren from nine countries competed for four days at the MakeX International Robotics Competition 2025 at the Bali Convention Center, Nusa Dua.

This year's theme was collaboration and technological innovations. Participants aged 6–15 from Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, South Korea, India, Lebanon, Mexico, and the UAE designed, programmed, and controlled robots for logical and creative tasks in teams.
The challenges varied in levels. In the Starter category, participants worked with mBot V2: initially manual control, followed by autonomous navigation with strategy, trajectory optimization, and strict time limits. In Inspire, there were open missions requiring unconventional solutions. Originality of design, movement efficiency, and success in completing missions were evaluated.

In addition to the matches, there was a techno exhibition: more teams demonstrated autonomy, with robots relying on sensors and their algorithms rather than remote control. Judges noted that MakeX is no longer about 'assemble and launch' but about teamwork in engineering: design, testing, quick adjustments, and error resilience.
Students from Bina Bangsa School (Jakarta) performed the best. Starter: 1st place - BBS PIKS team, 2nd - BBS KJS, 3rd - BBS PIKP. Inspire: 1st and 2nd places - BBS PIKP. Explorer: Victory - BBS PIKS.
