Sekolah Montessori Erdkinder Bali

WhatsApp: +62 821-4782-3913
At our school, we prepare students for the future by placing special emphasis on developing character qualities such as adaptability, resilience, and a love for learning.
The Montessori School in Bali is located in a beautiful campus specially designed to support the Montessori approach to education.
The Montessori approach is both innovative and traditional at the same time.
The school employs a unique system called the "Three-Period Lesson."
The Montessori Three-Period Lesson is used to teach a child a specific concept or skill clearly and precisely.
In the realm of language, it is used to increase, enrich, and expand a child's vocabulary:
The First Period is the stage of knowledge.
Here, new knowledge and concepts are introduced to the child. The teacher provides the names of objects, properties, or quantities: "This is... (for example, red, this is blue)." The teacher speaks while pointing to the corresponding item – the child sees and hears, engaging both auditory and visual perception. To solidify this knowledge in the child, there is the second period.
The Second Period is the stage of experience.
Here, the child learns practically. Through hands-on experience, the child internalizes the knowledge gained in the first period.
At this stage, the teacher gives the child tasks like "Give me..." or "Show me...". By completing these tasks, the child actively interacts with the objects. This is practical application. At this level, the child internalizes the knowledge, creating passive knowledge.
The Third Period is the evaluation of the acquired knowledge.
At this stage, new terms and concepts transition from passive vocabulary to active. To facilitate this transition, the teacher points to an object and asks questions like, "What is this?" or "What kind of thing is this?" Here, the child must provide an answer, not just show.

Balu Kids Bali

Phone: +62 0813-3750-2442
Balu Kids is a unique proprietary system of self-development and self-discipline for young children. The primary focus here is on developing fine motor skills, sensory perception (sight, hearing, taste, smell, touch), as well as nurturing independence in the child. There are no standardized programs or requirements; each child progresses at an individual pace. Every child is free to engage in activities they enjoy. In this way, they "compete" with themselves, gaining self-confidence and fully absorbing the material.
The key principle in Montessori pedagogy is "Help me do it myself." In other words, the adult should understand what interests the child, provide an appropriate environment for activities, and teach the child how to use it.
The task of the educator is to identify the child's interests and provide a conducive environment for learning and exploring that area of interest.
Classes at Balu Kids are conducted in English.
The key areas they focus on for child development at the child center include:
- Intellectual well-being of the child:
This involves age-appropriate development based on the child's abilities. A specially created safe environment in the classrooms with engaging materials allows the child to acquire knowledge in areas such as English language, mathematics, the world around them, and sensory perception.
- Physical well-being
This includes balanced nutrition, personal hygiene, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the day. There is also a play area equipped with various structures that develop motor skills, strengthen the child's body, and contribute to the development of agility, strength, coordination, and balance. Different surfaces (stones, grass, sand, wood) enhance the child's sensory perceptions, promoting overall development and building trust and self-confidence. In the younger class, there is a mini-playground (corner) for developing gross motor skills.
- Psycho-emotional well-being of the child
For admitting children aged 2-3 years to the center, active work is done with parents to ensure that the child adapts to the new environment as quickly as possible and can stay without parents.

Learning is more than just knowing basic facts or what we call subjects. Learning is acquiring sets of life tools that individuals will use for the rest of their lives. Learning should be viewed as a road that leads to the future, and students will actively travel down that road to reach their destination. What is best for them is to prepare them for their future.
HighScope Bali aims to facilitate and guide students throughout this journey with its three current educational programs: early childhood, primary, and middle school.

Using differentiated instruction—by differentiating content, processes, and products—teachers match students' readiness, interests, and learning profiles to develop the most appropriate lessons. The curriculum aligns with international standards while also covering the necessary national content.

These skills help them absorb and expand new ideas, plan and implement action steps, analyze outcomes, and evaluate processes, as well as familiarize themselves with presentation methods. Canggu and Kuta

Matahari Canggu

WhatsApp: +62 821-4710-4364
Matahari Canggu values two key elements in education: a child's independence and adult guidance.
Children thrive when they engage in free play combined with active participation. This combination makes learning beneficial for a child's concentration and encourages an interest in learning through communication.
Examples of play include:
- Children making their own choices in the environment.
- Children experimenting with new materials.
- Children testing ideas through play.
- Children creating imaginative roles and activities.
- The teacher's role in guided play is active.
Guided play always sees the child as an active participant in the learning process.
Adults play an important role in expanding a child's knowledge. During teacher-guided play, they can gently intervene in activities that young children find engaging and motivating.
Play with a teacher is a shared experience between adults and children in which teachers provide the foundation for language improvement, development, and learning.
During play, children develop friendly relationships with peers and trusting relationships with adults. This collaborative effort becomes a reliable and valuable foundation for the healthy choices children will make throughout their lives.

The Garden Early Learning Centre

Phone: +62 8585 7222941
At The Garden Early Learning, they believe that the first six years of a child's life are a critical time when the brain is rapidly developing, and children are learning and mastering skills. Parents are a child's first teachers, and educators work in partnership to nurture each child's developmental stages.
Positive relationships are essential for children to form connections with their educators and feel safe. Once children have established a bond with their educators, they can begin to explore the learning environment and interact with peers. Every new experience, every moment of discovery helps shape who they are and who they will become.
Educational areas inside and outside the classroom include play-based pedagogy. Educators intentionally teach children using a play-based approach.
Teaching and learning strategies are based on the Inquiry learning model. Inquiry-led learning is about opening up and allowing each student to begin to understand and interpret the world around them through engaging experiences. Far from traditional and stagnant teaching methods, inquiry-based pedagogy sees students leading their dynamic learning journeys, supported by exciting lessons and activities, interactive educational spaces, teacher guidance, and relationship-building.
At The Garden, they always aim to facilitate positive communication with parents so that everyone is informed about what's happening around the center. They use a program called StoryPark for this purpose.
StoryPark is a safe online community for educators to communicate with parents and caregivers about their children. Each child has their own profile. Educators send invitations to parents who can register for free and then access their child's profile. It's an interactive space where parents can contribute and see what their children are doing while at the center. They can understand where their child's learning is coming from and what it means for their child to be involved in the center. It also helps bridge the communication gap between busy parents and staff.
Educational Programs:
Early Learners
For children aged 15 months to 2 years.
Children of this age need time and space to explore and make sense of their world. Educators aim to ensure that each child feels safe and recognizes the importance of developing trusting relationships.
Early Learners 2
For children aged 2 to 3 years old, EL2 offers learning areas where the little ones can take their time because children in this age group have limited attention spans and need repetition for practice and skill development.
In this program, students are encouraged to interact positively with each other and the environment. Teaching and learning place a strong emphasis on building confidence and collaboration through play, and fostering a sense of identity and belonging. Through an inquiry-based approach, children's natural curiosity is directed towards making choices about their own learning through discovery.
Preschool (Ages 3-4)
The preschool education program aims to foster confidence and engagement in students. Children will learn to express their ideas, test their theories, and challenge each other's thinking through collaborative play and intentional learning. The joy of discovery and the wonder of the present moment are highly valued and respected in this program.
Preschool (Ages 4-5) / Preschool (Ages 5-6)
Teachers focus on the social and emotional development of children to prepare them for formal school education. The preschool offers play-based learning areas both inside and outside the classroom to stimulate children's development, with a special emphasis on literacy, numeracy, social and emotional, language, physical, and cognitive learning. Children will learn to express their ideas, test their theories, and challenge each other's thinking through collaborative play and intentional learning.

Ages 3 to 6 years
The age range of 3 to 6 years is the most critical period in a child's development. At this age, a child is like a sponge and can absorb much more than adults. It is also a critical period for language acquisition and an excellent time for bilingual development.
The immersion program provides students with an extensive vocabulary, structure, and competence to understand and express themselves in two languages. Children entering the program should be toilet-trained, allowing teachers to maximize their instructional time.

Montessori School Bali

Phone: +62 813-3950-9018
Education Programs:
- Infant and Toddler: Up to 3 years old
- Preschool: 3 - 6 years old
Education is conducted following the methodology of Dr. Maria Montessori (1870-1952). Montessori was a physician, educator, and multiple nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize. She developed a system that nurtures children's natural desire to learn. The Montessori approach focuses on a child's social, emotional, physical, spiritual, and cognitive development. It helps the child unlock their full potential, providing them with the tools and strategies necessary to make the most of each stage of development.
The Montessori classroom environment is designed to pique a child's interest and curiosity. Tasks are structured in a way that contains everything the child needs to complete them independently. This helps the child gain confidence and a sense of free will as they see they can do things without adult assistance.
Children are given the freedom to choose their activities, which fosters concentration, self-discipline, and strengthens a child's confidence as a learner.
The Montessori method asserts that children have a natural inclination to explore, discover, and learn. In a carefully prepared and stimulating environment, they will explore the world in a way that promotes the blossoming of their personalities. This develops a sense of order, concentration, independent work habits, initiative, and inner control, so external discipline is rarely needed.
Montessori classrooms typically cover an age range from three to four years. Children learn in the same class with the same teacher for at least three years, creating a community of individuals who know and care for each other and understand how to communicate with each other. When a child starts in the class, they are usually the youngest and observe the older children to learn about social norms and possibilities for activities. As children progress into their third year of education, having learned more and more, they become leaders and role models for the younger children entering the class, developing leadership skills, confidence, and independence.
Since each child progresses at their own pace, students can enjoy their accomplishments without the need to compare themselves to others in the class.
Interaction between children of different age groups contributes to strengthening social bonds. Younger children absorb the behavior patterns of older students and anticipate upcoming activities, while older children develop leadership qualities, confidence, and independence as they share their skills. Children in each class help establish basic rules of behavior in their class. This helps them take responsibility for their own conduct and gives them the opportunity to practice self-management through adherence to basic rules.
Teaching is conducted by both Indonesian and international teachers.

The role of educators is to support each student on their personal journey to discover, develop, and apply these skills. Review of Wisdom Academy Bali kindergarten from Ellina:
“My son goes to kindergarten in Bukit, Nyang Nyang beach area, I recommend it to everyone who lives in Bukit and is looking for a kindergarten for a child, we really like it)”
Review of Skywalker House Montessori by Niki
"We also wanted to enroll in this school, but changed our minds when we came to visit and spoke with the teacher. The school is very small, with no open outdoor space for children to play. There are only 2 toilets for 50 students, limited learning materials, and no children's artwork displayed anywhere (even though their website mentions their involvement in various arts). School hours are until 12:30. Children are expected to be reading and writing in English by the age of 6.
We scheduled a visit to Montessori Changgu, but there is a long waiting list there. We are also considering Changgu Community, where some acquaintances' children attend. The cost of these schools is roughly the same."
Review from Maria
"If anyone is looking for a daycare, BlueDolphin has finally opened a daycare group. The price now, without any fees, is only 1.7 million per month with meals for a full day."

SRI BALA KRISHNA
❤️ Humanistic Pedagogy
❤️ Developmental Activities
❤️ Vegan Menu
❤️ Space of Happy Children
❤️ Just Love
"BALI BALA KRISHNA" Vegetarian Home Kindergarten is an author's project created so that children can play, grow, and develop by revealing and realizing their talents and uniqueness in a friendly, comfortable home atmosphere.
BALI BALA KRISHNA - A vegetarian home kindergarten is a place where we live a little life full of new discoveries and unforgettable adventures, a space where children unleash their natural abilities in an ecological and safe environment. Adults never stop learning and explore the world together with children. Personal boundaries are respected, every perspective is accepted, and compassion for others is the highest value.
Here, the child chooses their own direction and learning path, while the adult flexibly adapts to the child's requests and abilities, becoming a co-explorer and igniting an interest in self-discovery and knowledge sharing.
We believe that a child is born talented and very curious, and our mission is to be there, observe, help them find ways to interact with the world and themselves.
A mixed-age environment provides an opportunity to feel like part of a big family, where everyone brings their knowledge, where skills and experiences can be shared, and where care and attention to each other are not empty words.
Our environment is a space that can be built and transformed: drawing on large sheets of paper, gluing different textures, sewing costumes and staging plays, molding from various materials, creating sculptures, and illustrating books.
Adults in the environment respect the child, know how to and want to be a friend and helper, listen and hear, ask questions, offer choices, and create learning and creative situations.
The kindergarten is like an island of happiness: one family, a team of adults, children, and parents.
The availability of materials that do not dictate children's actions and do not contain ready-made play ideas largely contributes to the emergence of their own ideas and stories. Children can pursue their own interests and fantasies in their own way and can experiment as much as necessary. Freedom of movement, a variety of experiences, and countless opportunities for play create a space where children can express themselves fully.

Review by Yulia  about ELENICO daycare:
"If you're looking for a daycare, I highly recommend ELENICO! My son started going there at 4 months old, and the children there are from 3 to 6 years old. It's an excellent daycare with a wide range of activities. They learn English, and they have many caregivers, so the children are always supervised. In the evenings, they have masterclasses, arts and crafts sessions, and sometimes even cooking classes (my son brings home coconut-chocolate-banana rolls, dumplings, sushi rolls, which is really cool).
When we started attending, they offered a free trial day, although I'm not sure if that's still available.
The daycare operates until 7:00 PM. In my opinion, children need socialization, and spending the whole day with a nanny isn't as fun :)"
Review by Victoria:
"We go to The Garden in Changgu. It's a 1.5-hour session in the morning with activities and playtime in the garden. The kids really enjoy it, and the best part is that you don't leave them there; you stay with your child. Even babies as young as 7 months can participate. It's a group for little ones up to 18 months."
VARVARA SCHOOL BALI
We have opened an adaptation group for children aged 2️⃣ to 3️⃣ in Ubud. We are enrolling a maximum of 5 kids.
What do we offer?
📅 Attendance 5 days a week
⏰ 3 hours a day from 9:00 to 12:00
🍲 Delicious and nutritious breakfasts
Our Values:
🤍 SAFETY
We pay great attention to all aspects of child safety. The school premises are fenced and guarded, we carefully maintain cleanliness, disinfect surfaces and toys, and use furniture and toys made from natural materials. For the youngest children, there is a separate group with a caring teacher, soft mats, age-appropriate materials, and furniture.
🥗 DELICIOUS AND NUTRITIOUS FOOD
Our chef cooks so deliciously that many children ask for the same meals at home. The menu is developed by a child nutritionist-dietitian. We always take into account the individual characteristics and allergic reactions of each child.
🦸🏻‍♂️ INDIVIDUAL APPROACH
AND DEVELOPMENTAL ENVIRONMENT
We believe that all children are individuals with their own unique set of abilities, methods of interacting with the world, and developmental tasks.
Our educators create a developmental environment that inspires children to express themselves and explore the world in all its diversity.
🎨 CREATIVITY
It is important for us to support a child's interest in creative self-expression, to give each child the opportunity to reveal their uniqueness, try different techniques, and derive pleasure from the process.
🤝 COOPERATION
Our teacher sends a daily photo report of how the day went and is always ready to provide valuable recommendations on interacting with the child.
📥 For enrollment, please contact us via direct message or at +62 813 39507960 (WhatsApp).
Review from Alona Platonova about Mamakidclub:
"Personally, my experience was as follows: my daughter was not ready for daycare and cried a lot (she was three, and she had attended daycare in Russia). There was only one caregiver for all the children, and she couldn't handle them all. The adaptation process didn't go well, and in the end, we decided to hire a nanny. I personally saw many crying children there. There seemed to be some activities, but my daughter didn't adapt well.
Later on, I heard feedback from other moms about head lice issues among the children in the group. This is unfortunately a common issue in Bali, which is concerning, especially for kids with long hair like my daughter's. So, for now, we're without a daycare.
We also tried Elenico, but it didn't work out for us, although I have no complaints about it. I know some people who go there and are very happy with it.
At Malinkas, they don't really watch the children, and there are no proper educational activities.
As for recommendations, I've heard about Twin Flame, but I'm not sure from what age they accept children."

"I highly recommend WAKABA Edu Care! 👍 They teach the little ones various skills! Planting flowers, for example ❤️❤️❤️ Eating together at the same table, learning colors, counting, dancing, potty training 👍 Excellent play area! And they even work in the evenings now 👍 Our son goes there with a nanny three times a week. We're glad that he's not only playing and having fun but also developing along with others."
