Ahead of the Eid al-Fitr holiday, Indonesian airline Garuda Indonesia has launched a new airport transfer and car rental service in 16 major cities across the country.
Starting from March 2025, travelers can book an airport transfer or rent a car with a driver — including the option to select premium-class vehicles available at each service point.
The new airport transportation service offers cars and drivers for transfers and in-city transport for durations of 4, 8, or 12 hours. The service can be booked through the FlyGaruda mobile app or on the airline’s website, no later than 24 hours before the trip.
To book, go to the “Additional Service” section on the website, then under “Before Flight”, select “Airport Transfer” or “Car Rental”.
This new service is available in Jakarta, Surabaya, Malang, Yogyakarta, Semarang, Kualanamu, Pekanbaru, Palembang, Lampung, Jambi, Balikpapan, Banjarmasin, Makassar, Manado, Bali, and Lombok.
This move by the national carrier is aimed at providing travelers with a more comprehensive service and added convenience during their air travel experience.
Travelers who book an airport transfer or car rental with a driver will also receive additional GarudaMiles points, which can be accumulated and redeemed for other services.
