Starting in 2026, ticket prices for foreign visitors will more than double: for adults, from 30,000 to 70,000 rupiahs (about $4.50), and for children, from 20,000 to 60,000 rupiahs. For Indonesians and holders of a KITAS/KITAP, the increase will be moderate: from 15,000 to 20,000 rupiahs for children and from 20,000 to 30,000 rupiahs for adults. The park is open daily from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The head of the traditional village of Kukuh, I Gusti Ngurah Arta Wijaya, explained the increase simply: 'Money is needed to feed the monkeys.'
He reminded that the last price changes were in 2012 and noted that the new rates were discussed with local guides and other stakeholders. According to him, compared to other attractions, Alas Kedaton remains affordable: a ticket to the Sangeh Forest already costs 75,000 rupiahs, and the famous park in Ubud is even more expensive.

The price increase is accompanied by plans to improve infrastructure. The forest will feature a café, new photo zones, and an impressive statue of a monkey at the entrance. The project will be implemented with the help of corporate social responsibility programs.
The management notes the growing interest in the attraction: the number of foreign visitors has recently doubled—from 50 to 100 people per day. The main flow of tourists comes from Europe.
To avoid misunderstandings, an information campaign is being launched on social media and through the ASITA tourism association. Its goal is to inform guests in advance about the tariff changes and to highlight the advantages of the renovated park.
