From 15 to 17 October, Thursday to Saturday, kindergartens and schools for grades one to nine in Denpasar are moving to remote learning.

The city education office made the decision because disruptions to petrol supplies may make it hard for teachers and students to get to class.
The order applies only in Denpasar, including Sanur, and covers state and private kindergartens, nurseries, playgroups and schools. Senior grades, ten to twelve, are not included. Check with the school administration whether it applies to international schools.
Students at Udayana and Warmadewa universities are also studying online from 14 to 16 October.
On Tuesday, Bali Governor Wayan Koster dropped a plan to introduce remote learning in schools and working from home, saying these measures could be avoided if fuel deliveries were sped up. On the morning of 14 October, there were still queues at petrol stations in Denpasar.
