Continuation of the “Wild West” Route

Prices: 25k for temple entry, 5k for parking, 45k for hot springs entry, 20-45k for waterfalls.
Distance: From the hotel to the furthest point - 68km; then to Ubud - 58km.
Travel time: around 6 hours with stops.
Difficulty: moderately difficult (long and with altitude changes).
First stop - temple on the hill 📍 Pura Batu Kursi.
Entry is free, you can leave a donation. The climb on the concrete steps is comfortable but exhausting. You can also get onto a helicopter here. It will be seen on the left along the path to the temple. The construction is not the most reliable but interesting.
After having fun with the helicopter, we head for lunch at 📍Nalika Beach Restaurant.

The restaurant is located right on the seafront and offers a small pool and shower for guests. We recommend trying their homemade ice cream. It's delicious! The main dishes are also of high quality, and the service is good, which is rare for this area. Prices are above average but justified. A meal for one person will cost 150-200k. You can relax on a lounge chair with a sea view.
We head to the Buddhist temple 📍 Brahmavihara-Arama.
A sarong is provided at the entrance. Inside, there's a well-maintained garden and many beautiful statues, as well as a large stupa. It's a great place for meditation. Retreats are often held here. The temple resembles the famous Borobudur on the island of Java.
A few minutes' drive from the temple are the hot springs 📍 Holy Hot Spring.

It's more of a place for locals but worth visiting for an interesting experience. In terms of aesthetics, the format isn't 'wow'. The color of the water in the pools can be a bit alarming, mixed with a strange smell.
Next, we head to Munduk, specifically to the waterfall 📍 Red Coral Munduk Waterfall. There are several waterfalls in this area, and you have to pay to visit each one. Entry to Red Coral is 45k, and to 📍 Labuhan Kebo Waterfalls is 25k. Both waterfalls are very picturesque! There is a concrete path and steps. On the way, spices are sold. You can buy a bag of dried cloves for about 25k.
After visiting the waterfalls, you can enjoy coffee with a stunning view at 📍Bali Jegeg Munduk, Hotel, Bar and Restaurant. The kitchen is not top-notch, but the view is great!
Or reach 📍Munduk Escape – a small coffee point and photo spot. A modest little place opened by a local resident. The road to the point goes through hydrangea fields.
This is where the route ends. We head home through Bedugul. On the way, you can buy a huge bouquet of hydrangeas for a small amount and treat yourself or your loved ones with these flowers.
Let’s rest and meet on a new route!
