Transport

The road from the airport will take 1.5 - 2 hours depending on traffic. The cost of a taxi is 300 - 500 thousand rupiahs.
To get to Candidasa, you can also take a bus from the company Perama. Buses depart from Kuta, Ubud, Sanur, Padang Bay, and Lovina. It is best to book buses in advance.
The traffic in Candidasa is of low intensity. It is almost a necessity to have personal transportation, as getting around on foot can become tiring after a few days. Taxis are scarce, and there are only private drivers offering services for the entire day.
If you want to rent a bike in Candidasa, inquire at the reception of your hotel or guesthouse. The staff usually has contacts with rental companies that can provide you with a bike.

Atmosphere

Candidisa differs from the entire West Coast with its very lush vegetation, wetter climate, and banana and palm jungles replaced by beautiful rice terraces. And the hilly and mountainous terrain and serpentine roads will not leave travelers indifferent to the breathtaking scenery. The climate is determined by the proximity to the volcano, it rains more often, but there are no storms and heavy downpours.
The population of the area - peasants, simple and kind inhabitants are always friendly, few people speak English. But the staff in hotels, bars and the entire tourist industry is perfectly trained, while remaining rustic spontaneity and family-soul approach to guests.
There is ABSOLUTELY no crime. This is a land of silence and tranquility.
A good place for a vacation with children. This small village is very different from the tourist centers (Seminyak, Kuta, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, Sanur) lack of guest workers from other islands, here is preserved the communal structure of the organization of district villages and newcomers do not take root.
This resort is a favorite place for divers and Australian retirees. A great place for biking and motoring (very scenic, little traffic, good roads).

Attractions

In the center, there is a beautiful lotus lake! It's best to visit early in the morning to see the blooming lotuses.
Don't forget to also visit the Chocolate Factory!

Entertainment

There are few tourists, but the infrastructure is well developed, with numerous restaurants and hotels to suit any taste and budget, as well as several art bars where the owners personally hold shows and concerts. However, there is no club life.

There are no problems with ATMs. Candidasa has relatively inexpensive guesthouses.

Restaurants and Cafes

The village of Candidasa consists of a single street between a mountain ridge and the beach. Bars, hotels, and restaurants line the street, offering moderately priced options.
Vincent's is a good French restaurant (prices are medium to high). There are other equally nice French places, Ganesha Louge and Hangry Crocodile. The crocodile also has live music.
There is an excellent Warung Bintang that is clean, delicious, and reasonably priced.

Water Sports

The area is known for the beauty of the ocean and small islands, where activities such as sailing on local fishermen's trimarans, snorkeling, and diving can be enjoyed. There are several dive centers and many diving spots in Candidasa.
There is also a diving club Bali Club, along with a restaurant. If you have any questions you can contact them, they are always happy to help.

Beaches

The beaches in Candidasa are narrow with black sand. They practically disappear during high tides.
A 20-minute drive or bike ride from Candidasa will take you to what is perhaps the best beach on the island, White Sand Beach, with turquoise waters. Most of the year there is calm water, white sand, and cozy cafes on the shore.
