Bike robberies. Bike attacks

The story of one tourist
 DANGEROUS BALI
‼️ We were attacked at night ‼️
Yesterday around 23:30, returning home from friends, we noticed two guys on a white NMAX following us for a while.
Oleg decided to let them pass ahead. The bike turned in front of us at the same turn we needed to take and blocked our path.
In a split second, I thought they would snatch my bag, which I stupidly didn't put in the bike's trunk.
And it happened!
One of the guys grabbed the strap of my bag and yanked it sharply, causing me to fall off the bike and hit my knees hard.
And since I didn't give up the bag, which contained two phones and my only working bank card, they started dragging me along the asphalt while still riding their bike!
I managed to yank and tip over their bike. One of the robbers started running away, Oleg caught up with him and beat him up, then went after the second one when he tried to flee the scene, leaving his comrade behind.
We ended up with a broken bike, my bruised knees, and a bunch of bruises and abrasions.
But many were much less fortunate than us!
Many of my acquaintances, girls on the island, have had their bags and phones stolen. At night and even in broad daylight! One girl had her collarbone broken during a robbery.
They all wrote a statement to the police, but the case did not move forward!!
From our side, we ask all visitors to the island:
1. When riding a bike, always put all valuable items in the trunk, regardless of the time of day. Do not leave your phone in the bike's pocket and avoid using a smartphone holder on the bike.
2. Girls should not ride bikes alone late at night or during the night. When riding alone in the dark, girls should cover their bodies (with pants, a jacket) to avoid attracting the attention of potential robbers.
3. In case of an attack, report it to the police and file a complaint.
