As of December 17, 2024, new rates have come into effect under Indonesia’s Government Regulation No. 45 of 2024, which adjusts taxes on various immigration services, including residence permits and visas.
Key Changes:
The biggest impact is on those planning to apply for a Digital Nomad KITAS. Previously, the tax was 2,700,000 IDR + $150 (around 5,100,000 IDR). Now, it has increased to 7,000,000 IDR.
2. Pre-investor Visa (D12):
• One-year visa: Previously, only 3,000,000 IDR was paid to the immigration office. Now, it’s 5,000,000 IDR, an increase of 2,000,000 IDR.
• Two-year visa: Costs have risen to 7,000,000 IDR, up from 6,000,000 IDR.
3. Multiple-entry Business Visa (D2):
Those traveling for business purposes will also face higher costs:
• One-year visa: Now costs 4,000,000 IDR, up from 3,000,000 IDR.
• Tourist Multiple-entry Visa (D1): Remains unchanged at 3,000,000 IDR.
4. Business Visa (C2):
This visa allows a stay of up to 180 days (60 days without extensions).
• The new fee is 2,000,000 IDR, up from 1,500,000 IDR.
Valid for 60 days, this visa has become cheaper, with the immigration office now charging 1,000,000 IDR instead of 1,500,000 IDR.
For tourists staying in Bali for less than 30 days, there’s no change. The fee remains 500,000 IDR.
Purpose of the Adjustments:
According to the regulation, the changes aim to improve the quality of services while maintaining state revenue. Applications submitted before December 17, 2024, will still be processed under the old rates.
