Bali Tops the List as Asia’s No.1 Romantic Destination

At the 32nd annual World Travel Awards (WTA) ceremony held in Hong Kong, Bali once again solidified its reputation as the top island for lovers. The resort was awarded the title of 'Asia's Most Romantic Destination 2025,' surpassing popular places like Samui (Thailand) and Siem Reap (Cambodia).

For Bali, this marks the seventh consecutive victory in this category — a record highlighting its unique blend of nature, culture, and secluded leisure atmosphere.
The island also won the title of 'Best Wedding Destination in Asia 2025,' leaving Cebu (Philippines), Samui (Thailand), and Langkawi (Malaysia) behind. Last year, Cebu was in the lead, but from 2019 to 2023, Bali held this title for five consecutive years, and this current win has reaffirmed its status as the ultimate dream for couples planning a wedding abroad.

In his statement, award founder Graham Cooke emphasized: "We were honored to host the 'Asia and Oceania 2025' gala ceremony in Hong Kong — one of the world's most vibrant cities. Today, we celebrate the best representatives of the region's tourism industry, and Bali once again exemplifies how romance and quality can go hand in hand."

Established in 1993, the World Travel Awards is considered one of the most prestigious symbols of recognition in the tourism sector. Voting is conducted among industry professionals — executives, tour operators, media representatives, as well as the general public.
For Bali, such victories are not just awards, but recognition of its special status: the island continues to inspire, attract, and remain a symbol of romance and dreams.
