AirAsia Launches New Direct Flights from Bali to Da Nang & Melbourne

From March 2026, Bali will have more direct flights to Vietnam and Australia. Indonesia AirAsia is simultaneously launching two routes from Denpasar: to Da Nang in Vietnam and to Melbourne in Australia.

On March 20, 2026, the direct Denpasar — Da Nang flight will commence. Flights are planned four times a week — on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. QZ 480: departs Denpasar at 14:15, arrives in Da Nang at 17:55 local time. Return QZ 481: departs Da Nang at 18:25, arrives in Denpasar at 23:55.
On the same day, March 20, 2026, AirAsia is also launching Denpasar — Melbourne, operating daily. Schedule: QZ 410 departs Denpasar at 20:10 and arrives in Melbourne at 05:00 the next day, while return QZ 411 departs Melbourne at 06:00 and arrives in Denpasar at 09:35. The company highlights that Melbourne will be its fourth destination in Australia after Perth, Darwin, and Adelaide. Promotional fares are also announced from 199 Australian dollars one-way.
Not only AirAsia is announcing new direct flights to Bali: other airlines are also expanding direct connections to Denpasar.
For example, Jetstar announced the launch of direct flights Avalon — Denpasar from March 23, 2026 (up to five times a week) and Sunshine Coast — Denpasar from March 25, 2026 (up to three times a week), as well as an increase in the frequency of the Newcastle — Denpasar route to four flights a week from March 29, 2026 (the route itself started on October 21, 2025).
