Local residents, who have been observing the operation of this place for a long time, have reported that the spa salon employs underage girls from West Java as masseuses. In addition to regular cosmetic services, the salon offers intimate massages with happy endings. Prices range from 1 to 1.25 million rupiah. Furthermore, residents have provided WhatsApp conversations from the salon, including photographs of the girls.
The manager of the salon stated that the establishment fell victim to deception, as the young employees misrepresented themselves as older than they actually were. He did not comment further on the matter.
The head of the police in Badung District, I Gusti Agung Suryanegara, stated, "We understand that the spa business plays an important role in tourism in Bali. But we cannot allow it to violate local moral norms. Tourism in Bali is a cultural heritage." The police chief also promised to take strict and swift measures to address the situation.
Amnes Spa is a branch of the larger Amnesti Spa located in Kuta. A local resident mentioned that a search had already taken place in this salon two or three months ago, but the police chief did not comment on it.
In addition to Amnes Spa, other salons such as Onasis Spa, Ibiza Spa, Zona Spa, and Office Spa have also come under suspicion. Some of them have already ceased operations.
Currently, there are dozens of unlicensed and unauthorized spa salons operating in the Badung area, who do not pay taxes to the budget. Local authorities plan to strengthen control and conduct regular inspections of all spa centers to prevent such cases in the future. Special attention will be given to protecting the rights of minors and preventing their exploitation in any form.
