A budget warung in the heart of Ubud.
Pros:
- central location, the very center of Ubud
- quite cozy and authentic, low tables in Asian style; cleanliness is average
- two options to eat: Nasi Champur - Indonesian buffet, you choose your own dishes, the price depends on the quantity chosen; or à la carte with fixed prices
- large selection of dishes
- open kitchen, you can see what and how they are cooking
- treat a banana at the cash register:)
- budget place, prices are full with tax included
- there is wi-fi/passport jasminee
- no smoking (a plus for me)
Cons:
- where the parking lot is unclear
- Found not at first time, very narrow entrance to the cafe, although there are signs. Orientation next to the currency exchange.
- crowded, “Asian” tables are always occupied and people hang out there for a long time(
- Not enough staff and they don't speak English well.
- It is better not to order from the menu, they cook long and not always tasty, a lot of fried and deep-fried (seafood in batter). I do not recommend dishes on the menu with sauces, they add specific Indonesian spices, the smell and taste is terrible, and the sauce is like glue(
- Choose Nasi Champur, it's faster and you will see what you take, the only thing is unclear WHAT you take and how much it costs) Could put signs with the name of the dish and the price of each dish.
- no air conditioning
