A Bali cafe entirely dedicated to modern Australian cuisine in the heart of Seminyak.
Sisterfields is Bali's only cafe entirely dedicated to modern Australian cuisine in the heart of Seminyak.
The interior is light and bright with simple modern decor. White wrought iron chairs, navy colored cushions and sofas, marble-topped tables, very nice tableware.
The cafe has tables inside if you want to have breakfast in the cool, or you can sit on the sunny terrace. But it depends on what time you come and where there will be free seats, as for breakfast there is no place to fall an apple.
The founder, Australian Adam McAsey, was born and raised in the hospitality industry. Several generations in his family are restaurant owners in Melbourne, subsequently he has also worked in a number of hotels, restaurants and bars. His success with Sisterfields inspired him to open two more establishments nearby. One of the best burger joints in Bali is Boss Mans and a cocktail bar called Manina.
The menu is not divided into breakfast and lunch, all items can be ordered throughout the day. I arrived by 10am and stayed until 4pm, during which time I had time to try:
- Acai berry bowl mixed with frozen blueberries, banana and almond milk, served with cocoa powder, goji berry granola and coffee honey
- Avocado toast with whole wheat bread, dried cherry tomatoes, feta and capers
- The Dirty burger
The Bloody Mary is the bomb! I even had to order it a few times!
Everything looked very appetizing and was really tasty, but I found the portions small and the prices a bit steep. Compared to Melbourne, though, it costs a pittance.
Note:
All sauces, nut milk, ice cream and jams, ricotta, butter are all made from scratch in the cafe, by a team of chefs.
