There is a large market in Kuta, but it is quite well hidden from tourists in the alleys and in a less popular part of the area.
The market is very local, with a corresponding atmosphere and unkempt appearance, so be prepared for that.
In the evenings, the market also operates, but more like a place for purely Indonesian dinners. Everything is much cheaper than in supermarkets.
It is great for getting acquainted with the local atmosphere. Sometimes the price of fruits and vegetables can be half as much as in supermarkets. In the mornings, it can be challenging to find a parking space.
