In the evening, with dimmed light and Latin American music, the restaurant turns into a celebration of life and taste: emotions, smiles, looks, conversations, clinking glasses, delicious food, incendiary music and attention of the staff.

Lola's Cantina Mexicana is a young restaurant, the first visitors appeared here in December 2018, but in a short period of time this place has gained incredible popularity: in the evening most of the tables are already booked.

One of the owners of the restaurant, Rayan, shared the story of the creation of Lola's Cantica Mexicana.

Surprisingly, this is the first experience, and the guys studied everything from scratch, learned the subtleties of the restaurant business from friends and colleagues, overcame bureaucratic difficulties, but their desire to open a place where there is delicious Mexican food was so great that they not only successfully overcame everything, but also in a short period of time achieved amazing results - and are already planning to open a second restaurant!

The restaurant employs 19 people: the staff is learning English, and Rein and his partner are learning Indonesian. The cohesive teamwork and love for their business can be felt in every detail.

The food is a reflection of how the staff and business owners feel about what they do.

It's not hard to find restaurants with Mexican cuisine in Bali, but it's harder to find cuisine that is as authentic as possible, yet authentic and unusual.

The menu of Lola'sCantina Mexicana has both Mexican dishes in their classic version and fusion variations.

Burritos, nachos, enchiladas, tortillas, salads - everything is made incredibly tasty, different kinds of sauces are served to the dishes and you can adjust the spiciness at will. The food will not leave anyone indifferent, even if you are not a fan of Mexican cuisine, and the variety of tasty cocktails will make your head spin - you will not want to leave).

For vegans there is also a lot of room here: tender tacos with jackfruit (though meat-eaters will easily mistake it for meat) or tempeh, guacamole with chips, hearty salads in bowls of corn tacos, enchiladas with jackfruit and fajitas with vegetables.

What's worth it is the homemade cashew sour cream - I have yet to encounter such a luxury in any Mexican restaurant!

For meat-eaters and fans things are no worse - if not better: there are quesadillas with steak, burritos with grilled fish or chicken, enchiladas (baked tortillas) with meat, served with author's chili sauces, rice, beans and fresh salad.

By the way, the sauces here are a separate story: all home-made, served in funny bottles with sombreros and perfectly complement the dishes (careful - spicy!)).

From the unique: here you can try meat Al pastor (by the way, the owner's favorite dish) - pork marinated in a special way for a long time.

And where without desserts! From the obligatory - churros, a classic Latin American sweet dish, served with chocolate sauce and ice cream.

In addition to the classics, there's a delicate gluten-free flan, lava cake with a liquid chocolate center, and banana-chocolate cheesecake - almost all gluten-free, which means a reason to afford more)

Lola's also has a huge choice of Mexican breakfasts: Huevos rancheros (eggs with avocado, beans, sour cream and spicy sauce), “morning” tacos and burritos with omelet or tofu, quesadillas with vegetables/omelet/bacon and, to complete the picture, 5 kinds of fancy smoothie-bowls.

The place pleases with special promotions: every Tuesday free tacos with any smoothie, in the evening from 4 to 7 - 2 Margaritas for the price of 1.

MARGARITA!!! Oh yes, what Mexican dinner is complete without a glass of strong but refreshing margarita?

Especially when there is happy hour- every day from 4 to 8 two for the price of one (classic variations).

In addition to the classic - 13 more (13, Karl!) types: with cucumber and basil, kiwi and jalapeño, chili mango or my favorite - with watermelon and cucumber.

Great choice of classic cocktails (Daiquiri, Bloody Mary), as well as Mexican bestsellers - michelada and sangria.

For non-drinkers, there are delicious smoothies, green smoothies, kombucha, coconut, coffee and tea.
