Zumana: Savaya Team’s New Beach Club Opens in Kuta

A new beach club, Zumana, has opened on the Kuta coast. It comes from the Savaya group, the same team behind the clifftop club in Uluwatu. Zumana, however, runs under its own name as a separate venue. The first guests were welcomed on August 19, but for now this is a preview run of parties: the official opening is set for September 25 and 26.

The site covers about 3,250 square meters and was designed by Rockwell Group, the studio that previously worked on Savaya. At its center stands a ten-meter sculpture called “Zenía” by artist Daniel Popper, with an open-air stage around it. Nearby there is a pool, daybeds by the water, bars and an outdoor dance floor.

In August the club is open every day, but the hours vary: Monday, Tuesday and Sunday from 15:00 to 22:00, Wednesday and Thursday until 23:00, Saturday until midnight, and Friday from 20:00 to 03:00. On the official opening days, September 25 and 26, it runs from 20:00 to 01:00. The Martinez Brothers play on Friday and Satori on Saturday.
Entry is for guests aged 21 and over, and photo ID is checked at the door. The dress code is stated as smart casual: tank tops with beer logos, cut-off clothing and sportswear will not get you in. Tickets are sold only through Megatix, and nearly all of them are general admission without a seat — seating in the common area is limited and taken on a first-come basis.
Tables are booked through a form on the website. Outside food and drinks, professional cameras, tripods and drones are not allowed, and bags are searched at the entrance.
In the DJ Mag Top 100 Clubs 2026 ranking, Savaya came in fifth worldwide and has held the top spot in Asia for the third year running. The group also has Desa Kitsuné in Canggu, a joint project with the French-Japanese brand Maison Kitsuné.

Manuza, a 200-seat restaurant billed as part of the complex, is still closed: its page only carries a promise to open this summer.
The opening comes at a time when efforts are under way to clean up Kuta. Officials admit the beach has lost its appeal and have launched a redevelopment of the area: sidewalks are to be widened to four meters, parking removed from the main streets, and a promenade laid out along the shore. The shoreline itself is receding by about two meters a year because of erosion.
