Torrential rains and gale-force winds have not only disrupted the usual rhythm of life on the island but have also caused chaos at Ngurah Rai International Airport. The forces of nature proved so powerful that 11 flights were thrown off schedule.
One of the most affected flights was operated by Wings Air, which was scheduled to fly to Tambolaka it was completely canceled.

Eight flights were delayed, including:
Nam Air Denpasar – Tambolaka route,
Wings Air flights to Sumbawa, Bima, and Lombok,
Super Air Jets flight to Jakarta (CGK),
Lion Air flights to Kupang, Surabaya, and Kualanamu.
International flights were also impacted IndiGos flight from Bangalore and AirAsias flight from Hong Kong were forced to circle in the sky, waiting for a break in the weather to land safely.
Despite the challenges, Ngurah Rai Airport quickly coordinated with airlines to ensure passenger safety. Specialists are working in an enhanced mode to mitigate the impact of schedule disruptions.

According to FlightStats, as of February 11, 2025, weather conditions have stabilized, and most flights are now departing and arriving on time.
