Urban Fun Run Bali participants should not yet expect the race to take place at the advertised venue. ITDC, the company that manages The Nusa Dua resort area, said the organisers had not applied to use the site, enquired about renting the venue or obtained permission. ITDC is also not involved in organising the event.
The five-kilometre race is scheduled for 9 August 2026. The organisers promised a DJ set, a party, a prize draw and medals. Tickets were sold for between 49,000 and 149,000 rupiah. The event website still lists the ITDC area in Nusa Dua as the venue.
ITDC issued the clarification after receiving enquiries from potential participants. Some said they had already paid the registration fee but had not received confirmation of their participation or an electronic ticket.
ITDC stressed that all events at The Nusa Dua must be approved in advance. If the organisers continue to use the resort area's name and grounds without permission, the company may take action.
The organisers have not publicly announced that the race has been cancelled or rescheduled. Ticket sales continued on the website. However, the terms state that purchased tickets are non-refundable and that the organisers may change the date, route and venue.
