A 48-year-old Indian man and a 44-year-old Singaporean woman organised a yoga retreat and held classes at a villa in Buleleng. Another offender, a 34-year-old Chinese man, was installing industrial equipment at a company in Karangasem and training staff to use it. The violations were discovered during inspections, some of which followed reports from local residents.
The Indian and Chinese nationals entered Indonesia on visas on arrival. The Singaporean national entered under the visa-free scheme. Both options allow tourism and other short-term visits, but not employment.
A total of 342 foreign nationals were deported from Bali in the first half of 2026. The main reasons were overstaying visas, working without a permit and using visas for purposes other than those intended.
