The British publication The World’s 50 Best has released its annual ranking of the world's best hotels. Indonesia is represented by two hotels, both located in Bali.

Mandapa in Ubud made its debut on the list, securing the 50th spot. The concept is a 'village within a village': traditional Balinese atmosphere and local architectural elements combined with modern comfort. The hotel is situated in the Ayung River valley and offers seclusion among rice terraces, with its own temple on the premises.
Potato Head Suites & Studios in Seminyak secured the 18th position. The hotel is renowned for its eco-friendly philosophy and closed-loop recycling; in 2025, it also received the Eco Hotel Award for systematic waste management and sustainable practices. Once a beach club, Potato Head has transformed into a 'creative village' where art, music, design, and sustainable practices merge. Under the motto 'Good Times, Do Good,' the hotel recycles 97.3% of its waste and has been included in the global top 50 for the third consecutive year, chosen by an international panel of over 600 hotel industry experts.
Four of the top five hotels in the ranking are located in Asia: first place - Rosewood Hong Kong, second - Four Seasons Bangkok at Chao Phraya River, third - Capella Bangkok, fourth - Passalacqua at Lake Como (Italy), and fifth - Raffles Singapore.
