The Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) tested the early warning system in the coastal villages of Penyaringan, Yeh-Kuning, and Pengambengan, which are high-risk zones.

The sirens can be activated remotely, including from Jakarta through the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), or manually with a button if necessary. Tests were conducted as part of the national program Indonesia Disaster Resilience Initiatives Project (IDRIP).
According to the emergency response plan, there are 23 coastal risk zones in Jembrana: 10 villages in the Melaya and Negara districts, 3 in Jembrana district, 4 in Mendoyo, and 6 in Pekutatan.
The sirens' audible range is several kilometers. The authorities hope that the system will increase residents' awareness and emergency preparedness.
When the tsunami sirens sound, immediately leave the coast: move to higher ground (at least 20–30 m) or go inland at least 2 km.
