Travel + Leisure magazine published the results of the World’s Best Awards 2025. In the 'Best Islands in the World' category, the Greek island of Paros took the first place (96.50 points), followed by the Philippine island of Palawan (93.60), while Bali ranked third with a score of 93.25. The Island of the Gods has been on the global list for eleven consecutive years.

The survey gathered nearly 180,000 readers who cast over 657,000 votes, evaluating natural landscapes, attractions, cuisine, hospitality, and value for money. Editors noted in particular that Bali's allure is built on a synthesis of 10,000 temples, beaches, and rice terraces, with recent highlights including the newly opened Anantara Ubud Bali Resort.
Last month, Bali topped the Travel + Leisure Luxury Awards Asia-Pacific 2025, becoming the best island in the region, surpassing Ko Samui and Phu Quoc. This award focuses on the luxury segment and is based on voting by readers of the magazine's Asian edition.
Right behind the top three global leaders were Ischia, the Fiji archipelago, the Maldives, the Galapagos, Hvar with the Dalmatian islands, Madeira, and Mallorca — all with ratings from 93.2 to 89.5 points, highlighting the competition in the top ten. For Indonesia’s tourism industry, this new success serves as further confirmation of Bali's status as a 'must-visit island.'
