Top 5 Croissants You Can’t Miss in Bukit! 🥐

As a former pastry chef and baker, I can't ignore such an important part of my life as baking. Let's be honest, sometimes you just crave a delicious pastry every 1-2 months. I love croissants, so today we'll be talking about them.

What makes the perfect croissant?

1. Color – It should be a golden brown. Not pale yellow or burnt, but that perfect golden-brown shade, indicating it was baked for just the right amount of time. This ensures the croissant is cooked through and gives it a perfect flavor.

2. Shape – We should clearly see the layers. This means the process of folding the dough was done correctly. A croissant shouldn't be flat or misshapen.

3. Flavor – The most important thing is the rich, buttery taste. You should feel like you're eating fresh, fragrant cream. For this, butter is key. A croissant made without real butter won't have that signature taste.

4. The Cut – Inside, it should have a beautiful, web-like structure, showing the dough has risen properly.

1. Nectar🥐

This is my go-to place for croissants in Bukit. By all criteria, it's perfect. They offer several variations, and all of them are great. You can even watch the bakers prepare the dough and fill the croissants with almond filling.

2.  Simplii🥐

Although they don’t bake the croissants themselves, they source them from Braud in Kerobokan, my favorite bakery. The coffee here is also excellent.

One of the best bakeries in Bali has finally arrived in Bukit. Their European breakfasts are amazing, and the bread here is top-notch.

4. Bull’s Coffee🥐

Definitely worth a try. My favorite here is the almond croissant, filled generously. Also, try their cocoa made with real chocolate.

 5. Ulu Artisan🥐

My favorite spot for breakfast. Their bread is fantastic, and they bake everything themselves. The quality is consistent, and the pastries are excellent.
