The Denpasar immigration office has deported three foreigners from different countries from Bali — each of them breached the terms of their stay in a different way: a Pakistani national held investor status but was not actually running a business, while an Estonian woman and a Ukrainian man had lived in Indonesia for years without extending their visas.
All three were removed through Ngurah Rai airport on 28 August. A 23-year-old Pakistani national with the initials HUF, who held a limited stay permit for investors (ITAS Investor), was sent to Pakistan.
The check found that he had not notified immigration of his change of address and had not carried out the passport mutation, and that he had handed over management of the company his status was based on to an Indian national for $4000.
A 22-year-old Estonian national with the initials RG was deported to Tallinn via Singapore and Helsinki. She held a visa on arrival and stayed in the country 477 days beyond the permitted period, explaining that she did not have the money to extend the document.
A 34-year-old Ukrainian national with the initials V.D. was sent to Bucharest via Kuala Lumpur and Doha. He also held a visa on arrival, which had been expired for 730 days — almost two years. The man had a ticket home for a long time, but he never approached immigration because he was worried about the amount of the overstay fine.
