Bali Immigration checked 66 foreign nationals from 27 countries in one week. The checks were carried out by Dharma Dewata patrols (Patroli Dharma Dewata). Head of the Bali Immigration Office Felyucia Sengky Ratna says digital monitoring helps detect violations faster and more accurately.
24 people are suspected of using their stay permits for purposes other than those intended. Another 20 have overstayed. The remaining 22 may be involved in public order and security violations.
All 66 are still under investigation. Depending on the outcome, they may face administrative action, including deportation, but each case will be decided individually.
Immigration has not disclosed the nationalities of those checked. In May, when the agency announced the results of the previous patrol cycle, it attributed this to the sensitivity of matters involving other countries. From 15 April to 4 May, officials checked 62 foreign nationals.
Officers conduct daily inspections and verify documents using a centralised digital database. They also visit hotels and accommodation providers to explain how to report foreign guest arrivals through the immigration app. The agency asks people to report violations to their nearest immigration office.
In the first half of 2026, 342 foreign nationals were deported from Bali. The most common reasons were using stay permits for purposes other than those intended and overstaying.
