Byrd House beach club
Opening hours: 6:30-23:00
Average bill for two: 300,000-400,000 rupees
Service: 16%
I've placed this restaurant at the top because it's the best place in Sanur where you can combine relaxation by the ocean/pool with children's entertainment. There are beachfront sun loungers available. They have a dedicated area for safe swimming for children, and there are lifeguards on the beach.
The restaurant is located in the best part of the eastern coast of Bali, so guests can enjoy magnificent sunrises in the morning and breathtaking sunsets in the evening. Byrd House beach club is a vast area with the main restaurant, a bakery, a pool with a lounge area, and a children's playground.
The large children's area includes slides, a sandbox, and a rope climbing structure. The only downside is its location. The children's area is not shaded from the sun, but the Byrd House beach club's grounds are lushly landscaped, which provides some relief from the strong sun during the daytime.
You can spend an entire day here: cool off, treat yourself to relaxing spa treatments, or try out cocktails at the Byrd lounge. To use the pool and lounge on the sun loungers, if you are not staying at Byrd House beach club, you need to place an order from the menu for a minimum of 200,000 Indonesian Rupiah. This amount includes a towel.
The children's menu here includes vegetarian dishes, fruits, pasta, chicken, and fish sticks with french fries. For a meal for two, you can expect to spend around 300,000 Indonesian Rupiah. However, the cuisine and service are excellent.
This place has a very stylish design. The main building of Byrd House looks like a bamboo nest. In the evening, the grass near the restaurant is illuminated with numerous ear-of-corn-shaped lights, creating a mesmerizing atmosphere. It's very inviting and makes you want to dine at this establishment.
A bonus for children is the contact zoo. Throughout the Byrd House beach club's grounds, you can encounter a goose and three pheasants. They seem to feel quite at home here.

Unlike the previous restaurant, Segara The Seaside is a more budget-friendly place. However, it's worth noting that there is a separate fee for access to the children's playground here.
Segara The Seaside is located on Segara Ayu Beach and offers guests a bar and a restaurant with an open-air atmosphere and sea views. It consists of four areas encompassing three brands: Segara Gelatissini restaurant, Segara Seaside restaurant and sports bar, Paon coffee shop, and an open tent with a view of the beach. On average, for a meal for two at this restaurant, you would spend around 200,000 Indonesian Rupiah. Surprisingly, there is no dedicated children's menu, but the overall menu is extensive, making it easy to find something for your child to enjoy.
Segara The Seaside is owned by the Sanur village community, and a portion of the profits from this restaurant goes towards supporting education, environmental initiatives, and cultural projects in Sanur.
While Segara The Seaside positions itself as a seafood restaurant, the menu also includes chicken and meat dishes. They offer a cocktail promotion of 2+1 for 180,000 Indonesian Rupiah. The sports bar consistently shows live sports broadcasts, including the Australian Football League, Formula 1 races, and various other global competitions. The restaurant features seven LED televisions and two large screens.

They provide updates on upcoming concerts and events at Segara The Seaside on their official Instagram page. As a bonus, there is a turtle farm located nearby.

Here, you'll find swings, slides, a bridge, a small climbing wall, and soccer goals – it's a spacious area perfect for playing soccer. However, the lack of shade on the playground during lunch hours could indeed be a significant drawback.
The menu seems quite diverse, offering snacks, salads, local and European dishes, desserts, and various beverages. The kids' menu with options like spaghetti bolognese, nasi goreng, and fish or chicken sticks is a nice touch.
Various themed concerts are held on weekends. Event announcements can be followed on their official Instagram page.

The bakso bar
Restaurant serving bakso
Opening hours: 8:00-22:00
Average bill for two: 120,000-180,000 rupees
Service: 5%
The café is located in the northern part of Sanur, on the border with another Bali district, Ubud. In this location, there are more drawbacks than advantages, which is why it's ranked last. The most significant drawback of this café is its proximity to the road. Another significant downside is that the children's play area is not shaded from the sun.
The third fact can be both a minus and a plus for bakso lovers. The menu only includes this dish with various additives and a small selection of drinks.
Drawing master classes are held here for children. You can follow the schedule on their Instagram page.
