Another snake was removed from Villa La Residence on Pantai Pererenan Street. This time the reptile was smaller than the three-meter cobra caught last week, but its venom remains just as dangerous.
The Rescue Damkar Badung team acted quickly: the call came in at 16:55, by 17:10 the rescuers were already on site, and within five minutes the cobra was safely placed in a container. No one was injured.
Although cobras invade homes less frequently than non-venomous snakes, only a specialist can distinguish them at a glance. If you encounter a snake, don't take any chances: don't try to catch it yourself, and immediately call the professionals. Reptiles are fast and agile; a chase in a confined space rarely ends successfully. There have been cases where a snake hid, for example, in a kitchen stove, and it was almost impossible to retrieve it without expert help.
If a cobra appears on your doorstep, trust the rescuers — it’s safer for both people and the snake.
