Self guided trip to Pura Tirta Empul temple

This temple is known for its unlike others. It is a water temple with holy springs, in a special font you can perform the rite of purification of karma✨

The road is easy, you can easily ride any bike, both Scoopy and Xmax. At the entrance to the temple you will see a sign, take the sidewalk to the parking lot inside. Entrance costs 50k, buy a ticket, mark it at the entrance and go inside. At the entrance to the temple take a sarong and tie it with the yellow stripe up. The sarong is free❗️

On the territory there are many pools where fish swim, there is a cafe, and then the font - two pools, from which several fountains flow, it is here that the rite of purification is performed.

🙏🏼 If you want to perform the ritual, you must rent a green sarong and change your clothes. Since you can't walk around the temple in wet clothes. It costs 10k, and for another 10k you have to leave all your valuables in the luggage room. In the temple, someone from the locals will come up to you and offer to perform the ritual for donation. They will tell you all the rules, the sequence of actions, under which fountains to stand, which to skip and what they mean, give you offerings. The whole ceremony will take you about half an hour.

If you walk higher up from the font, you can see the holy springs - bubbling sand - gushing out of the ground.

🛕 The temple is very beautiful! It's worth a walk🤩On the way out, we return the sarong and follow the signs. On the left is a market with souvenirs for all tastes. They will offer you anything you want - you can safely bargain.

Back to the parking lot, get on the bike and ride on. On the way back, you can stop at a great warung. They serve chicken there for only 1 dollar. The place is called 📍D'Desa Warung Grill. It's a warm light cafe right beside the road. A mother and daughter work there - a typical friendly Balinese family. Cheap, pleasant, tasty and beautiful. The spirit of traveling is kept alive by just such completions and not a ruinous bill😉
