Deus Ex Machina in Canggu is holding Slidetoberfest, its annual surf, motorcycle and music festival.

On Saturday and Sunday, sand races will take place on beaches near Tanah Lot.
On Friday, surfers compete at Pererenan beach. According to the schedule, heats run from seven in the morning with four surfers in each, and the final is allotted 30 minutes.

The day before, the final of the Indonesian Surfing League wrapped up on the same beach.
On Saturday, the black sand of Pasut Beach (Pantai Pasut), about half an hour from Canggu, will host the Dress Up Drag Race, a series of straight-line speed runs in which riders compete in costume. Participants are divided into classes by engine type, while custom bikes, each a one-of-a-kind build, compete separately.
On Sunday, the Swank Rally, a sand rally for both experienced riders and beginners, is scheduled to start at nine in the morning at Pangkung Tibah Beach (Pantai Pangkung Tibah) near Kedungu.
After each day's competitions, the festival moves to Deus itself, officially known as the Temple of Enthusiasm. Musicians and DJs perform there, starting at four in the afternoon on Friday and Sunday.
On the first evening there's a barbecue from half past six, and on Saturday Andre Yoga, the artist who designed this year's festival, opens his exhibition. At the closing on Sunday, the winners will be announced and trophies presented, after which the Indonesian surf rock band The Panturas will take the stage.
The festival marks the anniversary of the opening of Deus in Canggu.
