Ngurah Rai International Airport is expanding its flight map: this week, direct flights from China and South Korea have begun.

Airlines Sichuan Airlines and T’Way Air have officially opened routes to Chengdu and Cheongju. 'We are pleased to welcome our new partners. These flights offer additional opportunities for tourists from China and Korea to explore Bali,' said the airport’s General Director Ahmad Syaugi Shahab.
From September 25, T’Way Air flies from Korea’s Cheongju to Bali twice a week — on Thursdays and Sundays, using Boeing 737 MAX 8. From September 26, Sichuan Airlines operates daily flights from Chengdu.
China has traditionally been one of the top three biggest markets for Bali: from January to August 2025 alone, the island had almost 394,000 visitors from China.
With these routes opening, Ngurah Rai Airport is now handling 42 international routes with 47 airlines and continues to grow as one of the key aviation hubs in Southeast Asia.
