The Bali Health Department reported a decline in dengue fever cases on the island in 2025. Throughout the year, 10,391 cases and 14 deaths were registered, which is lower than the figures for 2024 (15,570 cases).

The department attributes this decrease to preventive measures: warnings were circulated in different areas, and volunteer inspectors were involved to check homes for mosquito larvae and return for follow-up inspections. Additionally, a dengue vaccination was conducted for approximately 1,000 schoolchildren in one of the villages in the Gianyar district with the support of a non-profit organization.
In terms of cases reported in 2025, the leading areas were: Badung - 2,038, Gianyar - 1,972, Buleleng - 1,726, Karangasem - 1,518, Denpasar - 1,291. The fewest cases were recorded in Jembrana - 118. In terms of deaths, Denpasar had the most (4), followed by Gianyar and Tabanan (3 each), Klungkung (2), and Buleleng and Karangasem (1 each).
To prevent the spread of the disease, remove standing water around your house (like in basins, buckets, or flower pot trays), cover water containers, and use repellents and nets or fumigators. If a sudden fever persists for more than two days, visit a clinic: monitoring is crucial in case of dengue. Healthcare in Bali is expensive, so be sure to get insurance in advance.
