Finns Beach Club on the Brink of Shutdown!

On February 13, 2025, a meeting of Commission I of the Regional Representative Council (DPRD) of Bali was held to discuss the closure of Finns Beach Club.
The reason for this decision is that the club has not completed the process of obtaining all the necessary permits. This issue was discussed during a working session of Commission I of DPRD Bali, with the management of Finns Beach Club also in attendance.

“We recommend the temporary closure of Finns Beach Club while awaiting a decision from the legal and administrative teams,” stated I Nyoman Budiyutama, Chairman of Commission I of DPRD Bali.
Previously, the Bali provincial government had already issued an official warning to Finns Beach Club, requiring the completion of its licensing process within 60 working days. However, during this period, the club failed to meet all the necessary requirements.
The council also highlighted an incident involving fireworks at Finns Beach Club in October 2024, which drew criticism for disrupting a sacred Hindu ritual on Berawa Beach.
According to the company’s official profile, in 2024, FINNS employed more than 2,000 staff members, the vast majority of whom were Balinese or Indonesian citizens. It was expected that by 2025, this number would increase to 3,000 employees. Many of them have expressed concerns about losing their jobs and their families’ livelihoods.
Local residents are urging the authorities to reconsider the decision, taking into account the economic impact on the community, and to find a compromise that would allow jobs to be preserved.
Finns is a popular resort complex, which includes Finns Beach Club, Finns Recreation Club, restaurants, a spa, and recreational areas. It is located in Canggu and is known for its oceanfront infinity pools, evening DJ events, and family-friendly amenities. It is one of the most visited places on the island for leisure, parties, and sports activities.
As of now, there is no information on the official website of Finns Beach Club regarding its closure. According to available data, the club operates daily from 11:00 AM to midnight. However, given the reports of a temporary shutdown, it is recommended to contact the club directly for the most up-to-date information.
