GM Bali Guest House
GM Bali Guest House offers several advantages and some drawbacks.
Pros:
  • Monthly rate of 2.5 million rupiahs with electricity included (air conditioning in all rooms);
  • Spacious and clean rooms with a kitchen area (without a refrigerator and stove), a separate drying room;
  • Friendly manager and staff, well-maintained guesthouse;
  • Many affordable warungs, laundries, etc., on the nearby streets Gelogor Carik and Griya Anyar;
  • Carrefour supermarket is nearby;
  • Gas station right at the turn to the guesthouse.
Cons:
  • Across the street, there is a local karaoke bar, which can be very noisy from sunset until late at night. This guesthouse is suitable for those who don't plan to stay at home in the evenings and prefer going out. Earplugs might be useful.
  • Very weak internet, but Telkomsel and Tri 3G networks have good coverage;
  • The road from the Sunset Road turn to the guesthouse is in poor condition.
is conveniently located, just 2 minutes from the beach. There is also a great ice cream place on the way to the beach, and in the alley with shops in
Kuta Square, there is a large grocery store. The price is reasonable, at 250,000 rupiahs.
Si Doi Kuta also looks very good but is a bit more expensive.
in Kuta
is a simple but pleasant and very quiet guesthouse.
It is located right behind the well-known surf shop Naruki.
The guesthouse offers breakfast (coffee, pancake, fruits), claims to have internet in the rooms, has a lot of greenery, and a large pool, ensuring a cool environment.
There are plenty of rooms, including on the second floor.
The place is managed by a friendly gentleman named Nyoman. Overall, it seems to be a quite decent place.
  • Clean rooms. The cafe at the hotel serves excellent steaks. Close to the airport. There is WiFi, a shower, a TV, and a large bed. Incredibly clean, stylish, and cozy eco-hotel. Very clean rooms with two small windows; there are no balconies, but it doesn't bother. There is a refrigerator, a kettle, disposable toothbrushes, and so on. The hotel has an excellent budget spa. There is a swimming pool.
  • There are few sunbeds by the pool. There is a lot of noise from the road near the hotel. Breakfast takes about 25-30 minutes to wait. Cleaning quality is not very good.
Room rates start from 210,000 rupiahs per night.
++ Ideal location, only 800 meters from the airport, and airplanes are not audible at night. You can reach any point on the island by bike. As a place to rest after a flight before a long journey, it is simply perfect. Rooms are clean, cozy, and there is a swimming pool.
--- Modest breakfast.
  • A guesthouse very close to the airport, just a 5-minute drive. Bright, nice rooms with internet.
Rooms starting from 240,000 Indonesian Rupiah per night.
Asta House 9.0
  • Very clean rooms, friendly host, not too hard to find, you can even walk from the airport. There is hot water available. The host is welcoming and very kind. You can leave your belongings until departure, rent a moped from him at an affordable price, and he may even drive you somewhere in his air-conditioned car (taxi rates apply).
  • The electrical system is weak and cannot support the electric kettle and air conditioner simultaneously. It's either one or the other. To resolve this, you have to go to the gallery and switch the electrical system back on. The air conditioner is directed towards the sleeping person, which may cause discomfort.
Rooms start from 230,000 Indonesian Rupiah per night.
  • Charming guesthouse on a quiet dead-end street. Very peaceful compared to the bustling central streets. The welcoming host offered cold water upon arrival. It may not be a 5-star accommodation, but there's nothing to complain about. It has everything you need: air conditioning, shower, towel with soap. Cozy terrace at the entrance overlooking the pool. The pool is clean, and the rooms are tidy with pleasant people all around.
  • The only drawback is the lack of a wardrobe; there is a small chest of drawers, but there is no place to hang clothes, only to fold, which is less convenient.
Rooms start from 240,000 Indonesian Rupiah per night.
++ An excellent option for a long stay. Friendly staff that helps with non-accommodation-related issues. Beautiful and convenient location. Delicious sandwiches for breakfast, along with tea, coffee, and unlimited water. Stable internet. Comfortable bed. Clean and well-maintained territory.
--- Noise from the road. Towels and bed linen seem a bit worn out. Room cleaning was nominal, and toilet paper was not replenished. In general, if you need something, you have to manage the process yourself. There's a rusty shelf in the bathroom.
Rooms start from 240,000 Indonesian Rupiah.
  • A convenient option for an overnight stay before departing from Denpasar Airport. The airport is within walking distance. The sea is not far away, about a 15-minute walk. Clean rooms with a comfortable large bed and fresh bedding. Towels are changed daily. There's a new, quiet air conditioner. The room is equipped with a kettle, tea, coffee, sugar, and a water cooler with clean water, all provided free of charge throughout the day. The hosts are friendly and unobtrusive.
  • The Wi-Fi is a bit slow, and some rooms have a weak air conditioner.
Rooms start from 250,000 Indonesian Rupiah per night.
  • Close to the airport – perfect for the start and end of a journey. The host is an exemplary owner. The breakfasts are very substantial. Very clean and cozy.
Rooms start from 250,000 Indonesian Rupiah per night.
MONTHLY RENT
Olivia Inn 7.9
"Good place for those who want to save a bit and at the same time have the opportunity to work on the internet... The cost of staying for a month is 2.5 million Rupiah per room + electricity separately. For electricity, it turned out to be about 500,000 Rupiah, considering that there were practically always 4 people in the room. Very good shower, spacious, with hot water. The room has a desk, unlike many guesthouses we've seen before. There is a large parking lot on the guesthouse's premises, and on the second floor, you can sit at a very cozy table and enjoy the view of nature right from the balcony. The guesthouse has a kitchen that you can use at any time of the day and night, and a water cooler with hot and cold water. The owner is a very cultured and polite person, speaks English, and made a contract with us upon check-in. But here's a minus - the staff at the guesthouse, on the contrary, does not speak English at all. We had to communicate with them using gestures. The internet at the guesthouse is provided by Speedy. It worked steadily throughout the month. Right next to the guesthouse, there is a laundry service within walking distance, and on a parallel street, there are many various warungs and shops."
"Budget-friendly, very clean, everything is new. The price is 2.5 million Rupiah. The internet in the rooms works poorly, but at the reception, it works fine (up to 1 Mbps). There is a kitchen with a shared refrigerator, and there are no refrigerators in the rooms."
"Wi-Fi in the rooms. Free airport pick-up. Single room: 3.5 million without breakfast, 4.2 million with breakfast - per month. Double room: 4 million without breakfast - per month."
"+ Refrigerator, air conditioning, internet, security, hot water. 4,000,000 rupiahs per month. The owners quoted me the following price per month - 3 million/3.5 million for a room without breakfast/with breakfast, cleaning once a week. The price likely varies depending on the condition of the rooms; those farther from the road and closer to the river are newer, but the Wi-Fi may not be as strong. I stayed there for two weeks, and the place is indeed very pleasant and quiet. Well-maintained garden, convenient location, friendly staff. There was an issue with the shower drain - they fixed it quickly."
"Not hearing the roads, beautiful garden, reasonable price, breakfast included (tea and banana pancakes), everything is clean. For a month, it's 4 million rupiahs. Electricity is included. Internet works in the garden and catches in half of the hotel's rooms; in the other half, it doesn't catch. There's a shared kitchen."
"A decent guesthouse in Kuta for a long stay. Good rooms, a bathtub, and reliable internet (1 megabit). 4 million per month for a room without a kitchen. 5 million per month for a room with a kitchen. Air conditioning and Wi-Fi are available in all rooms.
A discount of 200,000 rupiahs per month is offered for stays exceeding 2 months. For daily bookings, the price starts from 230,000 rupiahs per night."
