Dear readers! Remember that the accommodation prices when booking depend on seasonal fluctuations, one-time discounts, promotions, last-minute deals, your personal discounts in booking systems, and many other factors.
If you plan to look for accommodation in a guesthouse for an extended period, it makes sense to book a room for a couple of days, experience the pros and cons firsthand, and ask the owner for a discount for a long stay. When negotiating directly with the guesthouse owner, there is a chance to get a discount in the range of 10-40% off the amount obtained by simply multiplying the daily rate by 30.
If you have obtained any new information about the guesthouses mentioned in this material or any other good offers, please share your findings.
++ Clean and cozy rooms. Delicious Balinese breakfasts. Wonderful host. Excellent value for the price.
--- A bit far from the beaches. Need to ride a bike for 15-20 minutes.
Rooms starting from 225,000 Indonesian Rupiahs per night.
Mi Casa 8.5
- Very good apartments for long-term stay in Kerobokan, near the prison ;) Breakfast included. Pool, plasma TV, and all that. Prices start from 5 million per month. Clean room, nice pool. Good spacious room with a TV and kettle.
- Internet is available but not very good. There is a sewage smell in the rooms. The staff is very strange and not very friendly. No security.
Rooms starting from 330,000 Indonesian Rupiahs per night.
Teras Harta Apartment
There is a budget guesthouse called "TERAS HARTA" in Kerobokan (near the prison) with reasonable owners, a husband and wife (the husband communicates well in English), plus a responsive concierge named Ham, a young guy. The guesthouse is a 2-story house with balconies on the second floor. The cost of studio rooms is 2.5-4 million IDR per month (negotiable, discounts possible) + electricity is paid separately, ranging from 150-400 thousand IDR per month (depending on usage). The rooms include:
- Mini kitchen with a meter-high refrigerator, cooking stove, and sink.
- Air conditioning.
- Old televisions.
- Bathroom with shower and toilet.
- Double beds.
- Wi-Fi included in the price, but it may be slow.
- Balconies in rooms on the second floor.
- Clothes drying rack.
Astina Homestay
Room amenities include a large new double bed, air conditioning, a separate compartment with a door containing a shower with hot and cold water, a large wardrobe, a sink, and a kettle. The design lacks any hint of Balinese style.
Opposite the guesthouse, there is a beautiful palisade with a neat lawn and mango trees. A kitchen area will be completed there next week.
The price is approximately 1,800,000 IDR per month, including electricity. One downside is that the internet will be available only next month. The walls in the rooms are painted in a bluish color, which may be a bit surprising at first.
Overall, everything else is a significant advantage, especially considering the price.
