On October 27, budget airlines Jeju Air and Lion began direct flights between Bali’s airport (DPS) and the South Korean city of Incheon (ICN). Earlier, a flight was also launched connecting South Korea with the Indonesian city of Batam in the Riau Islands, near Singapore.
The new routes were made possible through a partnership between two airlines - Indonesia’s Lion Group and South Korea’s Jeju Air, the leader among Korean low-cost carriers.
“This partnership is expected to attract more tourists from South Korea, thanks to new options for flights to Bali and Batam. It aligns with government efforts to increase the number of foreign tourists and strengthen the national tourism industry. With the new route, passengers can choose a stopover in Batam or Bali, making it convenient for those who want to explore more destinations in Indonesia. This opens up more opportunities for tourism, both for international and domestic travelers,” said Lion Group’s Director of Corporate Communications, Danang Mandala Prihantoro.
The Bali-Incheon route will operate seven times a week. For booking international and additional domestic flights, the companies recommend the BookCabin platform, as it offers the Codeshare feature, allowing collaboration between two or more airlines. Under the partnership between Lion Group and Jeju Air, passengers can book tickets on Lion Group flights with transfers on Jeju Air flights and vice versa.
The schedule is as follows:
• Flight No. 7C5304, Bali → Incheon: Departs at 23:05, arriving at 07:10 the next day.
• Flight No. 7C5303, Incheon → Bali: Departs at 15:40 Korean time, arriving at 21:50 local time.
