A video of a mass brawl in Canggu has surfaced online. Tensions arose between foreigners and a group of locals at the Mexicola Canggu club on Pantai Batu Bolong Street. The conflict escalated inside the club until the DJ stopped the music and security escorted the troublemakers outside. The fight continued in the middle of the street, surrounded by a crowd of onlookers and bystanders cheering them on. The scuffle appeared chaotic, but it was clear that several foreigners were involved on one side and locals on the other.
According to the police, the foreigners emerged victorious in the “Battle of Mexicola.” Reports indicate that some Indonesians were knocked out and lost consciousness during the fight. The instigators fled the scene, and their identities remain unknown.

The cause of the conflict is still unclear, but North Kuta police have launched an investigation and aim to identify and apprehend the participants. In today’s digital age, this should be relatively straightforward, as security camera footage from the club is likely being reviewed and cross-referenced with the tourist database.
