From June 27 to 29, 2025, Bali will host Indonesia's first international forum in the field of wellness and aesthetics — Bali Wellness and Beauty Expo 2025. The exhibition will take place at the Bali Beach Convention Center in Sanur. Under the slogan “Grow-well in Bali: Where Wellness Becomes Beauty,” the organizers aim to unite over 70 companies and brands from Indonesia, Korea, Japan, China, and other countries. The forum is expected to be a starting point for promoting Bali as a global center of health, beauty, and sustainable tourism.

The three-day program includes business meetings (B2B) and various educational formats, such as talk shows, workshops, collective yoga, and meditation sessions. Participants can join activities either in person in Sanur or online.
Each day of the expo will be thematic. The first day will discuss the connection between wellness and sustainable tourism and how Bali can develop in this direction. On the second day, speakers, including Indonesia's fitness icon Ade Rai, will discuss how traditional medicine and body practices can be combined. The third day will be dedicated to exploring the relationship between external beauty and cultural identity.
In parallel with the main program, there will be a Collaboration Zone — a space for networking and business meetings, specially created to support small and medium-sized enterprises. All exhibition stands will be decorated using eco-friendly materials.
The program will be complemented by performances from ISI Bali Arts Institute students, Balinese dances and cultural shows, as well as a fashion show by designers from across Indonesia.
The expo is part of a strategy to transform Bali into a center for wellness and medical tourism, as outlined by the government post-pandemic. Ida Ayu Inda Justikarini, Head of Marketing at the Bali Provincial Tourism Office, confirmed that the island's rich nature, spiritual practices, traditional knowledge, and hospitality position Bali as competitive among industry leaders like Singapore, Thailand, and Korea. Regional regulation No. 55 of 2019, which protects and develops traditional wellness practices, is already in effect.
Infrastructure is also growing. For instance, the new International Hospital in Sanur is already operational, and traditional treatments like Balinese massage, jamu, and purifications could soon become part of the official healthcare system.
The organizers of the expo emphasize that BWB Expo is not a one-time event but a contribution to the long-term development of the industry. Five directions — medical tourism, wellness, health, ecotourism, and cultural heritage — are becoming a new platform for positioning Bali as a modern, sustainable, and attractive destination where beauty begins with balance.
