If you needed another excuse to book a tropical escape, TransNusa Airlines has just delivered. From 2 July the Indonesian carrier will double its Perth–Denpasar service, operating two return flights a day, seven days a week.

Australians and Bali go hand in hand: more than 1.5 million Aussies visited the island in 2024 alone. Whether it’s the surf, the spas, sunset cocktails or warm hospitality, Bali remains Western Australia’s favourite quick‑haul getaway. The expanded schedule gives holiday‑makers, business travellers and last‑minute jet‑setters far greater flexibility.
The new timetable
Route | Departure | Arrival |
Perth → Denpasar | 1 : 55 pm | 5 : 40 pm |
6 : 05 pm | 9 : 50 pm | |
Denpasar → Perth | 9 : 05 am | 12 : 55 pm |
12 : 55 pm | 4 : 55 pm |
Between 2 and 17 July the second daily rotation will run four days a week; from 18 July it will operate every day.
Announcing the expansion, TransNusa President Director Bayu Sutanto said, “Passenger demand between Bali and Perth continues to grow, and we want to give our customers more comfortable, convenient options”.
Introductory one‑way fares start at IDR 1,699,000 (about AUD 160). Tickets are on sale now at transnusa.co.id or through major travel sites.
Travel smart
With extra flights come extra visitors, and Australia’s Smartraveller service still advises a “high degree of caution” in Indonesia. In particular, swimmers should be aware of powerful rip currents on unpatrolled beaches. “Several Australians have drowned in coastal areas, including Bali, due to rough seas and strong rips”, Smartraveller notes. Stick to flagged beaches when possible, swim within your ability and respect local customs to keep your holiday hassle‑free.
