Retro Car Exhibition Welcomes Travelers at Bali Airport

From August 13 to 31, Ngurah Rai Airport has set up an unusual atmosphere: passengers are greeted by an exhibition of 13 vintage cars, ranging from a pre-war 1924 Dodge Brothers to models from the 1990s. The exhibition, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Indonesia's independence, is located in the domestic arrivals hall.

The organizers are Kebon Vintage Cars and InJourney Airports. The owner of the collection, Jos Dharmavan, emphasizes that each of these cars is not just a retro example, but a witness of its time, reflecting Indonesia’s journey to independence.
The exhibition is located in the arrivals area for a reason — more than 10,000 passengers pass through the airport daily, and the vintage cars have become part of the festive atmosphere. Tourists enthusiastically take photos, examine the details, and ask about the history of the cars.

From 5 PM to 7 PM, the exhibition is complemented by evening performances: Kecak dances, sets by Westside Vinyl DeeJays, and concerts by The Hydrant Band. History intertwines with contemporary culture here, creating unforgettable impressions.
The exhibition is open to everyone — you don't need to be a passenger to see it. This is the first installation of its kind at Ngurah Rai Airport, and the organizers are already considering scaling it up. A regular arrival in Bali turns into a true journey through time — right from the plane's stairway.
