Kubutambahan Proves It Again — A Village Without Corruption

Kubutambahan in Buleleng has once again been recognized as a 'village without corruption' under the supervision of the Anti-Bribery Commission (KPK). For last year's results, the village already received an award in January 2025.

They were assessed on five criteria: management, control, quality of services, resident participation, and reliance on local traditions. 'It's not just a sign at the entrance, but a culture of integrity,' says I Made Suparta.
In practice, it works like this: the budget is published, procurements are legal, and every step is visible. Residents are involved in monitoring and feedback, access to information is without unnecessary barriers.
They also focus on convenience for the people: if the office does not have a ramp, tactile markings, or a separate window for visitors with disabilities, the administration organizes outreach services — a staff member visits the person at home or in the banjar. Staff are regularly trained so that anti-corruption principles are embedded in daily work, not just on paper.
