A modern warung in one of Kuta's neighborhoods, Tuban.
There are few normal establishments in this neighborhood, mostly locales and not really clean warungs. This cafe is the coziest, cleanest and most decent on this street. The signboard is not very visible from the road, you can orient yourself to the neighboring bright red signboard that says Budhi Hotel, if you drive on the left side, the signboard and cafe will be on the right side.
The menu is Indonesian and Chinese cuisine only, good choices - chicken, shrimp, vegetables, duck, fish. All dishes are served WITHOUT rice, rice is ordered separately. In any case, the prices are inexpensive, without tax, so it is not expensive. The portions are big, the cooking is good. From the minuses - there is no wi-fi and the staff doesn't speak English well.
What to try?
1. Rawon - traditional Indonesian soup with chicken, vegetables, soy sauce, and special spices, because of which it gets its “black” color.
2. Gado gado is a traditional Indonesian vegetable salad.
3. Gurami bakar/goreng - grilled or pan-fried fish with sambal sauce and vegetables.
4. Fried cassava. An interesting alternative to rice or fries. Rice is still not included, try the cassava!
