An affordable family warung in traditional Balinese style.
Located away from the main tourist streets, it is quiet and peaceful, cows are walking, you can't even believe that 300m away from here life is booming. It is not difficult to find, by the signs, at the entrance there is a signboard and a store, you need to climb the steps to the top. Warung is right in a Balinese house, authentic! Owned by a local family, they serve and cook themselves. Quite clean. Open on Sunday for dinner only, at 18:00. May be closed on big ceremonies.
Indonesian and Balinese dishes on the menu, for warung are beautifully served and cooked homemade. Portions are average, if you are not very hungry one dish is enough. Prices are democratic for Seminyak, on average 35-50k per dish. The price-quality ratio is quite decent.
What to try?
1. Nasi goreng - traditional fried rice with vegetables, chicken and eggs.
2. Balinese Nasi Campur - Balinese-style rice with various additives: fried chicken, chicken kebab, fried tofu and tempeh, vegetables, and peanut sauce.
3. Garlic butter prawn - sauteed shrimp in spicy sauce, rice included.
4. Gado gado - traditional vegetable salad with tofu, tempeh, boiled egg, and peanut sauce.
