Setia Darma House of Masks and Puppets

The House of Masks and Puppets was established by Hadi Sunyoto, a businessman and cultural enthusiast who gathered masks and puppets from various regions of Indonesia.

Thanks to his efforts, a museum was constructed near Ubud in 2006.

The collection at the House of Masks and Puppets comprises around 7,000 items, including 1,300 masks from Indonesia, Africa, and Japan, as well as 5,700 puppets from Indonesia, China, Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar, and Cambodia.
