Two women — 35-year-old Vivianne Rosemareyn and 40-year-old Iris Maria Elisabeth — were riding a bike on the Yellow Bridge between Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan. They lost control, collided with the railing, and fell into the water. Eyewitnesses reported that the tourists were unable to pass by an oncoming motorbike.

According to the police, the metal railing was badly rusted and couldn't withstand the impact. Local residents and rescuers pulled the women out of the water and took them to East Medical Lembongan clinic. Vivianne sustained a cut above her left eye, while Iris had a chin laceration and a bruised arm.
Police Captain I Ketut Kesuma Jaa ordered the damaged area to be temporarily closed with tape and barriers. The police also demanded that local authorities and road services urgently repair the bridge, which, according to officers, is in a state of disrepair and poses a threat to all road users.
The Yellow Bridge, officially known as the “Bridge of Love,” connects two small islands — Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan. It is known as a pedestrian and motorbike crossing with a narrow pathway. Despite its popularity among tourists, the bridge has often been criticized for its technical condition.
