Receipts for the tourist tax for foreigners will be checked not only upon entry to Bali at airports and seaports but also at tourist sites.
Visitors can settle the tax directly at the attraction, but it's better to do it in advance before arriving on the island. This information was shared by the head of Bali's tourism, Chok Bagus Pemayun. Inspections at cultural and recreational sites will start in May 2024 once a week. Inspectors will visit various places on the island throughout the day.
Tourist agencies and guides are advised to check payment vouchers before the start of the tour, as inspections may occur unexpectedly, and the trip will be disrupted if the visitor cannot pay the fee. The head of the tour operator association urges all arrivals in Bali to make advance payments through the system lovebali.baliprov.go.id.
Guides must also provide clear information to island visitors about this fee. The acting governor of Bali, Sang Made Mahendra, suggested offering discounts at attractions to travelers who pass the inspection. Tourism leaders promise that improvements will be made to the payment system before these procedures start, and complete information about the tax and how to pay it will be provided.
The portal lovebali.baliprov.go.id, designed to provide information about the island, is currently experiencing issues. Still, you can attempt to make the payment using our instructions.
