On the site of the former "Russian Village" PARQ, the first illegal structures were demonstratively dismantled.

Representatives of the new owner, PT Gold Dragon Management, along with Senator Ni Luh Djelantik, former Bali deputy governor Cok Ace, and community leaders, dismantled part of the buildings' facade in a protected agricultural zone. Before this, priests conducted a purification ceremony for the site.
The new owners promised to restore the original appearance of the rice terraces and to conduct further work strictly within the legal framework.
Earlier, investor and entrepreneur Sergey Solonin completed the deal to purchase the complex, which was closed by authorities in January due to a lack of basic permits. His team announced plans to turn the site into a hotel cluster with an emphasis on ecology and partnership with local residents.

According to explanations from the Gianyar Licensing Department, construction permits can only be obtained on those parts of PARQ already designated in the detailed plan as a tourist zone. All structures found on the protected LP2B lands are subject to demolition. The company is currently preparing AMDAL documents and conducting public consultations to submit a complete set of permits by the end of the year.
Senator Ni Luh Djelantik publicly supported the project, stipulating a strict condition: any revival of PARQ must respect Balinese traditions, ensure local employment, and serve as an example of responsible investment. Representatives of Gold Dragon assured that at least 90% of employees will be Balinese, and the concept of the future complex will undergo independent cultural expertise.
According to the current schedule, the demolition of illegal structures will be completed by the end of 2025, after which the authorities will decide on issuing the main permits. If all requirements are met, the first buildings of the new PARQ could welcome guests in 2026.
