Nusa Penida. Best attractions and restaurants on the island

Nusa Penida is one of the islands near Bali, known for its pristine beaches, crystal clear water, amazing diving, and snorkeling spots with manta rays.

The easiest and fastest way to reach Nusa Penida from Bali is from the port of Sanur. The island has two harbors: the main one is located on the western coast of the island - Toya Pakeh, and the second one - Buyuk Harbor - on the eastern coast. Boats from Lembongan Island also dock here.

It is best to stay in cozy bungalows or villas with an authentic atmosphere on the island. It is most convenient to get around by renting a bike or a car with a driver-guide. However, please note that access to some beaches and attractions can be a bit extreme.

At the top, there is an observation deck with a view of the cliffs, and below is a very photogenic white sandy beach with emerald-blue water. Recently, steps were created in the cliffs for easier access to the beach. The entrance fee is 35,000 IDR.

Swimming at the beach is not recommended due to strong currents and waves. You can combine a visit to Diamond Beach with Atuh Beach.

Location

One of the most popular attractions on the island - Kelingking Beach with incredible views. The ridge of the bay resembles a dinosaur lying in the middle of the ocean. The beach is stunning, but swimming is not allowed due to the large waves and strong currents. The descent takes about 30-40 minutes.

Angel's Billabong is a unique place with a natural pool formed by rocks, offering stunning views where the azure waves of the mighty ocean crash against the cliffs. Swimming is possible only during low tide but can be dangerous, so it's better not to take the risk. Three minutes up towards Broken Beach, you can discover an arch on the beach hill formed by fractures and breaking waves.
