The managing company ITDC, which oversees the development of the Nusa Dua resort, reported an average hotel occupancy rate of 76.56% in the region the highest in six years. This figure is 18% higher than in 2023, showcasing the active recovery of the tourism industry.
Indonesians remain the primary guests of Nusa Dua, followed by tourists from Australia, the United States, China, India, and the United Kingdom. During the first three quarters of 2024, Nusa Dua resorts set records for both nightly rates and occupancy in the premium segment.
For over 40 years, Nusa Dua has been an example of well-planned tourism development. Its infrastructure strictly adheres to the 1972 zoning plan, which accounts for shoreline protection, landscaping, and safety.
Today, Nusa Dua boasts 19 hotels with 5,000 rooms, a shopping mall, a museum, cultural venues, a golf course, a tennis court, and a hospital. The resort is also equipped with two international MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) centers, making it a hub for major events such as the UN Climate Conference (2007), APEC (2013), the G20 Summit (2022), and others.
Nusa Dua is managed with a focus on sustainability, earning multiple awards, including the Tri Hita Karana certificate. It was also the first resort community in the world to receive the Green Globe 21 certification.
