The toll rates for the Mandara toll road, connecting the airport with Nusa Dua and Sanur, will change starting from April 27. Ketut Adiputra Karang, the president of PT Jasamarga Bali Tol Company, stated that the assessment and adjustment of toll rates are conducted every two years based on inflation and the cost of minimum service standards for toll roads.
The adjustment of toll rates is based on the inflation rate in Bali province from January 1, 2022, to December 31, 2023. According to the Central Statistical Agency, the inflation rate in Bali province during this period reached 9.90 percent.
The new and old rates for Class I vehicles (sedans, jeeps, pickups, small trucks, and buses) will be 14,000 rupiahs, which is one thousand more than before.
The toll fee for motorcycles and other two-wheeled vehicles, classified as Class VI, will change by 500 rupiahs to 5,500.
The payment will also change for other vehicles: for Class II vehicles, large trucks with two axles, the fee will be 21,000 rupiahs compared to 19,500 rupiahs previously. Class III vehicles, large trucks with three axles, will pay 21,000 instead of 19,500 rupiahs. Class IV and V vehicles, large trucks with four and five axles, will now pay 28,000, while the previous toll for them was 25,500.
The toll road has been equipped with 88 surveillance cameras, speed control cameras, and the service vehicle fleet has been updated. Additionally, the company has installed solar panels covering a total length of 1.5 km and planted 836 thousand mangrove trees.
"We are conducting road maintenance and additional works such as asphalt paving, road marking, and barrier installation, as well as implementing beautification programs, for example, decorating toll gate facades with traditional patterns and adding Balinese ornaments to lighting poles, planting greenery along the road," said Adiputra.
